Have you heard of Edward Sands Frost, the 1st ever commercial rug hooking pattern maker?
In 1868 this clever entrepreneur, who happened to be a tin peddler, began creating commercial patterns with stencils of his own invention when he saw his wife and neighbors were struggling with the design part of rug making.

Join me for this 90-minute class when we will use stencils to create simple primitive-style patterns. The class includes a packet of 25 full-sized stencils we will use together to make original compositions you can then hook or punch needle.
What you need: a pad of 19"×24" tracing or drawing paper (or as close as you can find), and some pencils. I will send you the stencils in the mail.
This class is for fun, you do not have to be an artist. You will end up with a pile of original designs you will be excited to use. You will also end up with a pile of confidence, knowing that designing is easy, fun, and personal... and YOU CAN DO IT!
