Welcome to the first in a series of fun, low-key design/ composition classes geared for hookers and punchers with a special love for the primitive style. This 'Seasonal Sampler' transports us to imagery and lore of Halloween's past. Using poetry, children's books, old postcards, and vintage photography we will work on a series of six very different compositions that play on the magic of Halloween, and will translate easily into rug designs.
-This class is recorded in case you are not able to attend live, or if you want to watch and rewatch again and again.
-Materials: you will need paper and a pencil. One exercise will involve working differently into a rug hooking backing, so if you're able to have a blank piece of backing ready-- we will draw right onto it. You are also able to do that segment on plain paper.
