The Haunted Rug is available for pre-order! This all-Halloween/Autumn book for rug hookers, punch needlers, and textile artists of all kinds. The book includes dozens of gridded patterns on a spiral binding, so it's easy for you to lay the designs you like flat on your printer, and print them to any size from your home office. The Haunted Rug is a jam-packed and nostalgic celebration of the season with a heavy emphasis on Halloween fun, memories, and old-time festivity. Personal memories, poetry, and recipes, and challenges accompany the patterns and make a complete and varied experience for you to bask in. Autumn people... here comes your book!

The Haunted Rug will start shipping in early October.

The Haunted Rug book pre-order $35.00 (plus shipping)
The Haunted Rug book party & hook-in $ 50.00

The Haunted Rug hook-in and book party will take place at the Red Lion Inn, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, on Sunday, October 20th from 11:30 to 5:30. Nestled in the heart of the best fall foliage country, the historic Red Lion Inn stretches across the famous village Main Street Norman Rockwell made famous in his painting, begun in 1956.

The Hitchcock Room will be set up for hooking, unpacking your projects, settling in, and socializing. Your ticket to the event includes tea sandwiches and beverages - yes, we're doing this in style! There will also be a cash bar if you feel like something zippy!

There will ALSO be a stellar collection of vendors present including Ribbon Candy Hooking (The Haunted Rug book will be for sale in person too), Hayley Perry from Loop-by-Loop, Colleen Tiefanthal from Beach Nut Studio, and two favorite artist/ designers from Ribbon Candy Hooking... Kirsten S. Gay (a RCH fan favorite and host of our weekly hook-ins) favorite, and Melissa Gauthier (coming all the way from Canada with her unique brand items).

I'll be giving a short, informal talk about the book, and I'll have an exhibit area with rugs that appear in the The Haunted Rug. What could be a better Autumn destination than a cozy hook-in at an old, haunted inn, with swag, vendors, fancy tea sandwiches, and the very best company?! This is a small, capped event because we need to have plenty of tables to be able to work and visit. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment when we hit max capacity.

If you plan to stay over or make a short trip of it, I will be sending info and updates as we go along with information and rates about close by attractions like The Norman Rockwell Museum, the Shaker Village, Herman Melville's 'Arrowhead', Edith Wharton's 'The Mount', and so much more. The Sheep and Wool Fiber Festival in Rhinebeck, NY (one hour away) runs that same weekend and is open Saturday the 19th (the day before the hook-in/book party).

If you are staying overnight, check all the hotels in the area - there are countless choices. The Red Lion is a bucket-list destination for sure, but there are also numerous smaller country inns, B&Bs, and fantastic chain hotels all over the place. Please email me if you have specific questions. I know the area well and I can help with anything or refer you!
